Tanınmış sponsor, belirli göçmenlik rotalarında kullanılmak üzere göçmenlik makamından resmi onaylı statü almış bir işveren, üniversite veya kuruluştur. Hollanda'da bu statü; özellikle yüksek nitelikli göçmen, araştırmacı ve belirli öğrenci rotaları için son derece önemlidir; zira davanın nasıl dosyalandığını ve kuruluşun üstlendiği sorumlulukları değiştirir. Tanınma her işçi için onayı garanti etmez, ancak çoğunlukla zorunlu bir rota koşuludur.
